President Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reinstatement of Professor Ifeanyichukwu Ikechebelu as the Acting Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with immediate effect.
In a letter made available by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Nasir Sanni Gwarzo on Thursdays 21th Nov, directed to Prof Ifeanyi Ikechebelu as “Sequel to the approval of Mr President, His Excellency, Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR vide letter PRES/84/Edu/10 dated 1th November, 2024 nullifying the appointment of Prof Benard Ifeanyi Odoh ad the 7th substantive Vice Chancellor of the University who was illegally appointed by the dissolved 10th Governing Council of the Nnamdi “Azikiwe University, Awka, I am pleased to convey the aproval of the Honorable Minister to reinstate you as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University with immediate effect”.
“Consequently, you are directed to take charge of the administration of the University”.
“Take note that henceforth any matter than requires the approval of the Governing council dhall be forwarded to the Honourable minister of Education, for your consideration and approval pending the re constitution of a new Governing council for the University by the president”.
