Beating all the time because he was sleeping with a married woman whom he has impregnated now and has started living with her. Now am helpless and I don’t know what to do. After when my baby was one year , he came back to the shop, traced me to where am living and started saying we should start again, I told him to go to my village, even my Child won’t allow him to carry him.
“When he came he told me to give him the child and when I refused he started beaten me, he almost strangled me to death if not one of his friends Oga Ola , I would have been a dead woman. My family had even forwarded the matter to Court, but he said he won’t come that he didn’t marry me at the Court, my people invited him and yet he refused to come. He plotted to stab me to death and run away with the baby but he didn’t succeed that day, he almost killed my mum.” The woman continued: “After everything he started begging that the lady has left, that he has changed and if I don’t come back that he will kill himself and kill the man. I went back to him in May and the beaten became worse, I have been training my child as a single mother. He beats, flogs me with belt, as a talk now I have wound on my body. He came to the shop yesterday and violently took my Son away, I would have left this marriage but I was ashamed of what people would say”, she cried. The woman therefore appealed to the government, concerned authorities, the media and the general public to help her locate the whereabouts of his child, saying that she would like to reunite with her child. Efforts to hear from the soldier was not possible, the phone contact provided by the wife could not be reached.
