Member representing the Ministry of Education in Imo State Universal Basic Education Board (IMSUBEB), Lady Dorathy Mirikwe, has lauded the Commissioner for Education, Prof. John-Cliff Nwadike and the Board Chairman of IMSUBEB, Her Excellency, Lady Dr. Ada Okwuonu, for representing Governor Hope Uzodimma well especially as regards promotion of quality academics in Imo State.
Mirikwe gave the appraisal while speaking with journalists during the Technical Bid Opening Ceremony for the execution of projects ranging from classroom blocks, sinking of boreholes, installation of solar lights, provision of desks among others in primary schools owned by government across the state at IMSUBEB Office, Owerri last week.
She said Nwadike and Okwuonu since inception into offices had done their best to ensure the implementation of policies and programs of the Shared Prosperity led administration hence the promotion of quality and quantitative education in public schools in the state.
Mirikwe, an articulate and hardworking educationist who supports the policies of government on improvement of education in the state, remarked that the Bid Opening was germane and a success as Prospective Developers, Commissioner for Education, UBEC, ICPC, Civil Society Organisations representatives were around to witness the exercise.
“What His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, approved for IMSUBEB has come to pass. The Technical Bid Opening was a success. His approval to carry out these projects in public schools in Imo State shows that the Governor loves education and wants the best for Imo State. Pupils and teachers will be comfortable in teaching and learning in an environment that is conducive and serene”, Mirikwe stressed.
